So, I have a cold. A super, mega-uber-powerful cold, which knocked me on my ass for the majority of my weekend. Suckage.
Tuesday I got to go out with
team503 again - more music!!! It was a lot of fun, although I missed my pub trivia fix. By far the best music of the night was
Like Wildfire - not hard since we only stayed through two sets. Still, the guys were nice - even if they were Yankees of the Bostonian variety - and we shared our pizza with them. I bought cd's for each of us and am very fond of them indeed. They need to work a bit harder to meld their sound at live shows, but that's a matter of practice more than anything.
Wednesday dawned with the realization that I had developed a killer cough and that I had a mental evaluation to go to. That's right, ladies and germs, I am finally taking the time to see a doc. Well, I will be after I get back from my folks place. For now, I identified things, answered questions and talked about my medical and mental background with a voice that was quickly fading. Whee! After that, I went straight home, chugged the remains of my friendly bottle of NyQuil and tried to sleep as much as possible.
Thursday, I was supposed to go to dinner and a movie with
driftpeasant. Unfortunately, I spent it in bed instead - with one not so quick trip to the store for Robitussin and NyQuil. I couldn't quite lie down - stupid cough tried to get into the chest - so I was propped against the wall, leaning on pillows and drowsing. Mr Eliot curled up next to me for the majority of the day, alternately purring and attacking my feet to make sure I was still alive.
And today... Well, today I came into work, which seems to be a very silly thing indeed now that I think about it. But it let me get online and say hi to everyone. And it satisfied my overly developed sense of work ethic. Whee. ;)
Now, back to work. Sucking on a Halls. Trying to forget that the phone exists.
